Audacity is a free audio recorder software that enables Windows, MAC and Linux users to edit sound files, combine 2 or more of them together, edit tracks, add built-in audio effects or through the following plug-ins: VST, Nyquist, LADSPA and Audio Unit. Audacity supports the input and output of a number of audio formats like FLAC, MP3, MP2, AC3, WAV and OGG.


Wavosaur enables Windows 98, XP, and Vista-compatible PC users to record WAV, MP3 or 8SVX audio files and edit them with the numerous options provided such as cut, paste, crop, mix, undo, normalize, fade in and out, or use VST effects. It also supports ASIO drivers, loop points and markers.
