Top 5 Features

  1. Main advantage of Actual Multiple Monitors the fully functional taskbar.

Each Actual Multiple Monitors taskbar includes copies of Start button (main menu), Notification area (system tray), clock (with calendar) and show desktop button. Thus users do not need return to the primary taskbar each time it necessary, a feature Software Review Boffin liked.

A significant difference from the other popular products is the individuality of each taskbar. Users can create different tabs with a Pin to taskbar feature on each taskbar (Windows 7 and higher). Explorer, Microsoft Outlook and Adobe premiere are pinned on primary taskbar and internet browser is pinned on secondary. Pin to secondary taskbar is fully functional. This enables a user to create a tab by just dragging any object to taskbar or clicking 'Pin this program to taskbar' in the context menu. Each taskbar also contains custom Windows toolbars. Other pleasing features such as working aero peek, buttons highlighting, grouping similar buttons, thumbnails preview with control buttons are also available.

  2. 2. Display management
    • Actual Multiple Monitors is a very convenient way to manage all displays with just one window. Actual Multiple Monitors contains the following management windows:Monitors layout and settings. It is a copy of standard monitors settings (resolution, color depth, orientation and etc.)
    • Desktop background settings. Here users can easily customize the appearance of desktop set one image over entire desktop or different images to each display (slideshow are also available).
    • Screen Saver settings. This management window has one advantage over standard Windows setting. It allows setting different screen savers to each display,
    • Desktop profiles window allows saving different monitors setting and switching between them with hotkeys.
  3. Window management

Actual Multiple Monitors adds three additional buttons to title bar of each window (these command duplicates in context menu):

'Move to monitor' allows quickly move windows between monitors. If you have dual monitor, then windows moves with one click. If you have three or more monitors you should choose monitor to move window. 'Maximize to desktop' allows quickly maximize window. If you have dual monitor just click button to maximize window over entire desktop. If you have three or more monitors choose monitors to maximize window. You can maximize window over two monitors from three, for example.

'Mirror' allows quickly start a mirror of this window. See bellow about mirroring feature.

  4. Desktop Mirroring

A peculiar feature that allows the user to create mirrors of different objects (area around the mouse pointer, selected part of the desktop, window, application or monitor) in separate windows. The purpose of this function was not 100% clear to the reviewer, however Software Review Boffin felt there would be applications for this feature in the marketplace.

  5. Nice Little Features include..
    • Ignore deactivation allows the user to cement any window full screen forcibly should it loses focus. Thus users are able to view full screen video (play full screen game) on one monitor and do something else on the another monitor, the full screen application will not be minimized. Activation hotkey is Ctrl+Shift+Alt+i by default.
    • Lock mouse allows users to lock mouse within a window's border. This feature is useful for gamers. Activation hotkey is Ctrl+Shift+Alt+L by default.

Ease of Use

There are many custom hotkeys for different program features.

Top 4 Reasons to choose Actual Multiple Monitors

  1. Software Review Boffin is of the opinion Actual Multiple Monitors have one great advantage price. It costs about $40. But if you don’t wish to pay for the best (IMHO) multiple monitors software, we suggest you use thee freeware version of Actual Multiple Monitors with limited functionality.
  2. Actual Multiple Monitors Review is a unique toolkit that enhances the usability of Windows user interface and allows the work with multi-monitor setups to be much more comfortable and effective. Powerful yet easy-to-use, the program adds a copy of the original Windows Taskbar onto each secondary display, simplifying and unifying the task management on all monitors. Each such copy can either display only the tasks running on the same monitor or mirror the contents of main Taskbar. Moreover, each secondary taskbar can display the Start button, the notification area (system tray), any toolbars (like Quick Launch, etc.) and the clock. Also, users can clone the Alt-Tab Task Switcher window on each monitor to prevent distracting users attention to the primary monitor each time you require to switch tasks. Finally, all taskbars can be semi-transparent!
  3. Actual Multiple Monitors greatly enhances window management within the expanded screen space with such usability tools as quick switching windows between monitors via a special button in each window's title bar or via hotkeys. Easy dragging/sizing windows from a arbitrary point, allowing snapping of windows to desktop boundaries and the to each other (sticky borders), emulation of Windows 7 Aero Snap on XP/Vista, allowing any window to span the entire desktop or fit monitor's width/height - and many others! To ensure the users work environment is even more comfortable and efficient.
  4. Actual Multiple Monitors allows users to set up rules for their favorite apps also to choose which monitor displays the program at startup. Users can also create desktop profiles, which include such display properties as screen resolution, refresh rate, color depth, status (primary or secondary), the type of wallpaper and screen saver (shared or individual on each display). Last but not least - Actual Multiple Monitors can save and restore the order of icons on your desktop in case they were garbled in some way. Software Review Boffin suggests that Actual Multiple Monitors will make arranging multi-monitor setups a breeze!
