ManyCam is free webcam software that allows instant switching between audio and video references. Users can also open the webcam with a number of open chat applications all at once. Manycam also has a picture in picture (PNP) and screencasting capability. A great deal of webcam effects and graphics can also be added to any photo or video, where users can create audio effects, change their voices, doodle over their video window and save all these to their hard drive.


YawCam or Yet Another Webcam is a free application for people who would like to have a security camera and monitor their homes, offices or businesses via their android web browser. It allows live broadcast streaming and capturing of snapshots particularly with its motion-detection mode. Its other features are: password protection, timestamps, and image to movie conversion.


WebCamXP is a free webcam and network camera software that can be turned into a security cum video surveillance system. It allows users to monitor their homes or offices remotely. WebCamXP supports different device types such as USB webcams, IP cameras, and also has streaming modes for still JPEG images, flash, javascript, Windows Mobile client.


FWink captures snap shots (JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF and WMF) from a webcam and saves them to an FTP server. Users can add time stamps, text messages or an overlay image on top of the webcam image taken. However, it doesn’t support video calls so alternative applications are recommended.
